In the recently published Best Companies 2009 list of winners, Northampton based business solutions provider acs has been awarded ‘First Class’ star status. Organised by the team behind The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For, acs joins the likes of Accenture, Iceland, AXA and Vodafone UK who also achieved a first class star rating.

The Best Companies accreditation measures what the organisers call “Workplace Engagement” within the company, by allowing each individual to provide their opinions anonymously on a range of different subjects. To achieve the star status acs had to score a rating of more than 85%. A tough challenge for any company in difficult economic times.

acs's Joint Managing Director Jon Thorpe accepted the award at a presentation at The Cumberland Hotel in London. “We’re delighted to have been recognised for our commitment to our employees,” he said. “Because the whole process is based on anonymous feedback from our team, we feel especially proud, as their opinions are the ones that really matter to us. Our new Best Companies award makes us want to work harder than ever to provide the very best training and environment for our hardworking staff. A big thank you also needs to go to our customers who have helped us achieve our growth and continue to support our team at acs.”
