acs golf day 2007

Friday September 14th saw representatives from local businesses and organisations gather to compete in the acs Golf Day 2007.  Held at Collingtree Golf Course in Northampton, the day began with bacon butties before tee-ing off at 12.30pm.

Prizes including a BMW Z4 and a break in Portugal were offered for the longest drive, nearest to pin and the elusive hole in one at the 12th hole.

While the car was sadly returned unclaimed to the showroom, Max Digby of Merrys achieved the Longest Drive, with Jackson Grundy’s Dave Jackson beating the competition for Nearest Pin.
The day was won by Derek Weekes of Jackson Grundy who scored 36 points, with Merrys’ Max Digby taking 2nd place with 35 points and Paul Tudor of Underwoods coming 3rd with 34 points.
The day’s winning team comprised Horts’s Adam Wellesley, Eric Boreham of Wayside Audi, Stanair’s Martin Wall and Mikey Davis, acs’s MK Technical Specialist.

Feedback was great, with everybody enjoying both the relaxing day and the evening meal. Thanks to everyone who was involved in making the day such as success and so enjoyable. We hope to see you all again next year.
